The Call

My eyes are caught by the dying light

I know it’s the end of the line

And though I may say I put up good fight

And that I did the best of my time

As I turn I see my father’s face

Have I given him Pride or just disgrace

Did he ever see the truth of my heart?

It’s calling me

The song of my home

It’s calling me now

It’s calling me

The song of my home

And I’m not alone

no I’m not alone

My weapons are lost and my neck is bared

But my heart is truly my own

My path is set and I don’t really care ‘bout

What curses are placed on my bones

But as I turn I see my father’s eyes

Does he see in me what he despise

Will he ever know the nature of my heart

It’s calling me

The song of my home

It’s calling me now

It’s calling me

The song of my home

And I’m not alone
no I’m not alone

In life I laughed and now I die

My soul is to be released

The fire will carry me to the skies

And the nights will wrap me in peace

As I turn I see my father’s smile

I see his head held up in pride

In truth he knew the nature of my heart.

It’s calling me

The song of my home

It’s calling me now

It’s calling me

The song of my home

And I’m not alone no I’m not alone

The song of my home

And I’m not alone
no I’m not alone

The Garden

Into the garden I go

Pluck the flowers made of snow

Watch the snow turn to water

Remembering yesterday

Into the garden of the past

Were only sorrows are made to last

And nothing is left unbroken

Remembering yesterday

Would be nice to see a face here

A face that wasn’t mine

Step into my garden

Stay with me for a while

Into the garden I go

Pluck the flowers made of snow

Watch the snow turn to water

Remembering yesterday

Into the garden I go

Pluck the flowers made of snow

Watch the snow turn to water

Remembering yesterday

Into the garden of bones

Where all the sorrows have made their homes

And nothing is left unopened

Remembering yesterday

Would be nice to see a face here

A face that wasn’t mine

Step into my garden

Stay with me for a while

Animal

I sit here

In my cage

The sign says:

I’m the animal

As I move

You stare

Still you say

I’m the animal

The barbed wires ‘round my wrists

Keeps me tight and secure

I’m bleeding from a thousand wounds

Still you come back for more

I’m chained here

With my rage

Your blind eyes

Make me the animal

You left me

In this cage

It’s for my own good

I’m the animal

I have cursed you a thousand times

And begged a thousand more

I’m the beast and still I’m the one

Lying face down on the floor

This restriction

Is killing me

Your morals

Make me the animal

You are all

the things I fear

But I bleed like you

And I’m the animal

Your petty rules and petty lives

You huddle in the dark

So afraid of every fire that

You’re killing every spark
