The world is to begin

Strange words stemming from a Facebook game and I ended up with the title. And now I found it on a note cleaning a HDD
It was one of those times when I suddenly had a song or atleast the lyrics. I have never tried to sing it or even put it into a melody. Here it is anyways:

You took All the broken pieces

Trying to start again

You looked So lost and lonely

As if this was the end

And I watched you In the mirror

Trying to explain

That all the things That lay around you

Were just pieces of your pain

Turn your back Leave it be

And walk on Towards the sea

Throw away This worthless load

And walk on The winding road

The world is to begin

Not end my friend

And remember restriction is sin

There is always time to mend

It is to begin

The chords Never changed

But the melody was broken

Still you played Tried to save

things that wouldn´t come again

all the words all the truths

all the things best left unspoken

turned a lover to a fool

and a mirrorman insane

The Oath

Thunder comes crashing
Through my mind
Once again
My rage is thrashing blind

As the noose is tightened
Something stuck in my throat
I can hear myself incanting
I can hear the oath

No more backing down
No more running
No more giving ground
No more running

Too many times
Too many places
Too many bigots
And angry faces

We’re hiding away
To our own shame
You know the story
It’s all the same

Mainstream culture
Mainstream lies
Mainstream husbands
And mainstream wives

I will not change you
Or set you free
Just let me pass
And leave me be

I hold no grudges
But i am drawing a line
You can either accept it
Or kiss my behind

For blubbering fools
I have no more time
I have roads to walk
I have mountains to climb

So stand aside, brother
Let me walk on
The oath is taken
The deed is done

I will walk on
Not matter but light
I will walk on
With one star in sight

No more backing down
No more running
No more giving ground
No more running

It is funny how words and their meanings change as time moves on. I wrote this text in a rage and the first version was even angrier but then a friend of mine used it in a song and he suggested some changes. In the end it turned out really well both as a poem and a song.

The Call

My eyes are caught by the dying light

I know it’s the end of the line

And though I may say I put up good fight

And that I did the best of my time

As I turn I see my father’s face

Have I given him Pride or just disgrace

Did he ever see the truth of my heart?

It’s calling me

The song of my home

It’s calling me now

It’s calling me

The song of my home

And I’m not alone

no I’m not alone

My weapons are lost and my neck is bared

But my heart is truly my own

My path is set and I don’t really care ‘bout

What curses are placed on my bones

But as I turn I see my father’s eyes

Does he see in me what he despise

Will he ever know the nature of my heart

It’s calling me

The song of my home

It’s calling me now

It’s calling me

The song of my home

And I’m not alone
no I’m not alone

In life I laughed and now I die

My soul is to be released

The fire will carry me to the skies

And the nights will wrap me in peace

As I turn I see my father’s smile

I see his head held up in pride

In truth he knew the nature of my heart.

It’s calling me

The song of my home

It’s calling me now

It’s calling me

The song of my home

And I’m not alone no I’m not alone

The song of my home

And I’m not alone
no I’m not alone

The Garden

Into the garden I go

Pluck the flowers made of snow

Watch the snow turn to water

Remembering yesterday

Into the garden of the past

Were only sorrows are made to last

And nothing is left unbroken

Remembering yesterday

Would be nice to see a face here

A face that wasn’t mine

Step into my garden

Stay with me for a while

Into the garden I go

Pluck the flowers made of snow

Watch the snow turn to water

Remembering yesterday

Into the garden I go

Pluck the flowers made of snow

Watch the snow turn to water

Remembering yesterday

Into the garden of bones

Where all the sorrows have made their homes

And nothing is left unopened

Remembering yesterday

Would be nice to see a face here

A face that wasn’t mine

Step into my garden

Stay with me for a while

Would be nice to see a face here

A face that wasn’t mine

Step into my garden

Stay with me for a while

Into the garden I go

Pluck the flowers made of snow

Watch the snow turn to water

Remembering yesterday

Animal

I sit here

In my cage

The sign says:

I’m the animal

As I move

You stare

Still you say

I’m the animal

The barbed wires ‘round my wrists

Keeps me tight and secure

I’m bleeding from a thousand wounds

Still you come back for more

I’m chained here

With my rage

Your blind eyes

Make me the animal

You left me

In this cage

It’s for my own good

I’m the animal

I have cursed you a thousand times

And begged a thousand more

I’m the beast and still I’m the one

Lying face down on the floor

This restriction

Is killing me

Your morals

Make me the animal

You are all

the things I fear

But I bleed like you

And I’m the animal

Your petty rules and petty lives

You huddle in the dark

So afraid of every fire that

You’re killing every spark
